Amanda's How To: Japanese to English Lyrics
I've been getting a ton of messages lately asking how I make my English lyrics so I thought I would make a little 'how to'. I'm going to use the lyrics that I made for my most recent English cover: Crossing Field (AmaLee) from the anime Sword Art Online. I hope this helps all of you hoping to make English lyrics of your own! And it might even give others insight as to why I change certain parts of the song/lyrics from the original translation and why I can't use the direct translation 100%. Hopefully this will also bring to light as to how much work I put into my lyrics. Disclaimer: Please note that there are a million different ways to make/ translate lyrics. Mine is by no means the only way and probably not the best or easiest way, either. But this is just how I go about it. Enjoy~! AIWC . . .
Things I like: The Aaron-Lara duet, singing 夢織花園 during the stage play. Aaron is finally not wearing black!!!!!!! Hai Jie finally ended with Alice The way Lisa died is … romantic Things I don’t like: Lisa died Less Arron in the drama SJ should have gone to prison or died instead Final note…. They really should release a drama OST. Seriously. The drama is about music. They should have released an OST of Ting Yu and Hai Jie’s violin performances. Lara also has a lot of good songs in the drama, 不敢哭, Where Have All The Flowers Gone, and there is another good song which I heard on the last episode. They only released 夢織花園. They should also include Arron and Lara’s 夢織花園 duet! And, of course, Arron’s 原來!!! He’s been singing it live for a number of times already, yet the CD version isn’t still out! Aiya!!!!!

Listen to the song Today is hell busy... and irritating, annoying, and full of negativity. I simply don't like this day. I watched Alice In Wonder City after the headache-y Benesse training and I'm glad no one disturbed me. After watching it, I started to appreciate this song. At first I was like "Why was this AIWC's opening song? It sounds so sad." Now I understand why. I also understand now why they have that part where they are holding balloons of different colors. I don't want to be a spoiler okay? Just watch AIWC. I know it's not like other dramas out there. It really has a different storyline and it seems really boring. But trust me, it may never be categorized on your favorites but this drama really is different among others. Anyway, going back. the song made me calm a bit.
