I never realized I am soo outdated that I didn't know Tia released a single! Read the lyrics, it's all nice. It was written as if the writer is speaking to himself, then ending the song with a realization/decision. It's not easy to let go of love, but if it just makes you feel worthless, why continue hurting yourself? Most of the time, letting go is the best option. The MV is also nicely shot as well. Using boxing to represent the emotional battles and all, it feels very empowering, very feminist. It's like telling every woman in that situation to be strong and stand up for yourself. This is one good chinese cover! Compared to Kim's Crazy Love chinese cover, Yeng's Ikaw is not just a mere translation of the original tagalog song. The lyrics are all new, which makes it an all-new song. It's just funny how people on youtube react on "lao lao" and "yi miao". It would've been better if they posted an official translation. This song has been playing on top of my head for weeks that I was forced to download it rather than stream it online. The song is catchy and the lyrics perfectly describes how "clumsy" Xiao Tong is.
